"Plant a tree" 

"Green lungs for Varna" 

Tree is a symbol of life. That is not by chance. The forests are factories for pure air, a place for recreation and rest, a source of valuable resources and a habitat for a lot of animals. The forests retain the water, protect from erosion, condense and purify the air. The forests in Bulgaria are cut down! Protection of the forests means protection of life. When a man plants a tree, he does not only help himself and the nature, but he also leaves a lasting trace behind himself.  

In order to protect the forests in the region of Varna, Public Environmental Centre for Sustainable Development (PECSD) organises the campaign "Plant a tree". In the framework of the campaign two annual initiatives for planting of trees are organised in the region of Varna. In the initiatives take part primarily young people from Varna schools and citizens who want to take part in the planting. The initiatives are carried out in the spring and autumn. If you think that it is important these actions to continue taking place, you can make a donation for "Plant a tree" campaign! 

The donated funds by you will be used for planting of trees in the region of Varna.
